Written by an experienced animal control handler of exotic wildlife Tim Harrison, Wild Times: Tales From Suburban Safaris is an amazing collection of true life anecdotes and candidly personal stories. From rescuing alligators, to rehabilitating birds of prey, to dealing with lions in city streets, and more, Wild Times is the fascinating true chronicle of a man with a unique love of wildlife, and is charged with the sometime difficult duty of protecting both humans and wild animals from one another. Wild Times is very entertaining and especially recommended reading for animal rights activists and wildlife enthusiasts.

"Wild Times" by Tim Harrison
The new frontier is suburbia! No Indians or frontiersmen, no snow-capped mountains to climb, and no horrible storms to fight. But Tim Harrison will thrill you until you beg for mercy as he tells about his confrontations with all kinds of wildlife in the suburbs.
No one in several generations faced danger in such a wide variety of ways with snakes, bears, lions, tigers, dragons, alligators, and more, and most of these encounters have been in the "safe", environs of where you and I live.
But this common sense approach to humans" owning" wild animals and other outdoor livestock will no doubt challenge you as he disturbs you with his insight into humans and wildlife existing together. But you will love every page.
Make your son or daughter read this book. And every macho male should study it as a manual.
Tim grew up and worked in Montgomey County as a firefighter, police officer, and paramedic, and has traveled far and wide in pursuit of his major interest as a wildlife enthusiast.
He will thrill you with his personal stories. He will upset some of your pet notions and perhaps give you a new perspective about life beyond humans.
Plus he has a chapter which is required reading- ""Snakebite Protocols, Or: What to Do Until The Priest Arrives." And his "Buyer's Guide to Exotic Animals" has no equal.
