Dear Mr. Harrison,
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for attending the Public Safety Committee hearing on Ordinance 536-01 as it pertains to the regulation of exotic animals. Your assistance in educating the members of Cleveland City Council and the citizens of our city about the dangers of owning exotic animals was invaluable. The presentation and testimony that you provided on this very important topic was instrumental in the successful passage of this ordinance. My City Council colleagues were extremely impressed by the slide presentation regarding your own personal encounters with these animals.
The exotic animal ordinance was voted on and passed by Council during the Monday, June 3, 2002, City Council meeting. I am also providing to you a copy of the exotic animal legislation and videotape of the Public Safety Committee meeting that was held on May 15, 2002. If you should have any questions or need additional information regarding Ordinance 536-01, or if I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at (216) 664-3708.
Again, my sincere thanks and appreciation for assisting us in the successful passage of this legislation.
Sincerely, yours
Dona Brady, Councilperson
