Exploring the Amazon Rainforest & Galápagos Islands – 15 Nights
July 29 – August 13, 2008
|
Observe wildlife and habitats unlike any other on Earth while exploring two of the world’s most biologically diverse regions - the Amazon Rainforest and the Galápagos Islands. The biodiversity of the lush Amazon Basin rainforest is unsurpassed in the world and provides an ideal living laboratory for studying the area’s 500 bird species, tropical botany, complex ecosystems, and medicinal plants. In contrast, the starkness of the volcanic Galápagos Island’s red and black lava formations and rolling highlands gives access to wildlife populations so unique they inspired Charles Darwin to theorize evolution.
