About Us
In November of 2001 a group of police officers, firefighters, and paramedics joined together and established Outreach for Animals. We incorporated as a non-profit 501©(3) organization with the mission to educate young people about the realities of wildlife and how they belong in their natural habitat. We have reached hundreds of thousands of people through all forms of media, including testimony before local governments.
Our goal is to continue to be the #1 advocate for proper behavior around wildlife by bringing greater understanding of wildlife to the general public through a national presence with lectures, programs, educational materials, and experience. We are committed to always be the goodwill ambassador and liaison between humans and animals. We are a for-impact organization that saves lives, transforms lives and changes lives.
We have produced educational wildlife videos that tell the truth about wildlife around the world and present engaging presentations to schools, libraries, nature centers, public and private events. Our Director, Tim Harrison, has authored and illustrated two books about the exotic animal problem in the US. Both books are available at the store.
